MHADA Warns 11 Applicants: Attend March 6 Hearing or Lose Your Chance

Date:

Mumbai, March 1, 2025: The Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board has announced a final opportunity for 11 applicants seeking transition premises after none of them attended the first scheduled hearing on February 27, 2025. The board’s neutral committee has now set a new hearing date for March 6, 2025, urging all applicants to be present with the necessary documents.

Despite multiple attempts to notify the applicants—including registered postal letters, personal visits by board officials, and public notices in newspapers—none of the applicants were present for the hearing. One applicant had collected the notice in person but failed to attend.

In light of this, MHADA Vice President and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal has instructed the three-member committee, led by the Deputy Chief Engineer, to provide a final chance for the applicants to verify their identities and documents.

The committee will submit a detailed report following the hearing, which will determine the eligibility of the applicants. Only after this verification process will the final decision on the allocation of transition premises be made.
