Vasai-Virar is facing a serious threat as bogus doctors are openly playing with people’s lives. Several clinics in the city are being run by individuals without proper medical degrees. So, you might unknowingly be getting treated by one of these fake doctors.
To curb this malpractice, the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation’s (VVMC) medical department has launched a crackdown, conducting raids at various locations.
Recently, the department took action against two such doctors in Nalasopara. According to reports, a raid was conducted in the Dhaniv Baug area of Nalasopara (East) two days ago. During the inspection, two clinics were found operating without the necessary documents.
Authorities have taken action against Pushpa Yadav of Geeta Devi Clinic and Sunil Kumar Yadav of Shri Krishna Hospital. Investigations revealed that both individuals held electrotherapy degrees but were illegally practicing allopathy without any authorization from the Maharashtra Medical Council.
An official from the medical department confirmed that complaints have been filed against both fake doctors with the police. The crackdown will continue to eliminate such illegal medical practices in the region.
