Mumbai: In order to guarantee the safety of visitors, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has hired private security guards since the promenade along the Mumbai Coastal Road project was made public. This security solution is expected to cost Rs. 66 lakh for a six-month period. Meanwhile, there has been a little delay of a few days in the development of the Central Park by Reliance Industries Limited.
Promenade Open to Public
The Mumbai Coastal Road project stretches from the Princess Street Flyover to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The promenade along the coastal road has now been opened for public access, with six pedestrian underpasses constructed to facilitate entry.
Considering the expected large crowds, the BMC has decided to appoint private security personnel for crowd management and safety. A survey conducted by the Maharashtra State Security Corporation determined that 39 security vehicles would be required at the site.
