Thane: Blending star power from cricket and cinema, KL Rahul and Suniel Shetty have come together for a major real estate investment in Thane. The duo has jointly acquired 7 acres of undivided land in Owale, Thane West, for Rs 9.85 crore, as per documents filed with the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR). The transaction was officially registered in March 2025.

The land forms part of a larger 30-acre and 17-guntha plot located along the vital Ghodbunder Road, which connects Thane to both Eastern and Western Express Highways. Surrounded by key neighbourhoods like Anand Nagar and Kasarvadavali, Owale is emerging as a hotspot for real estate development due to its excellent connectivity and infrastructure potential.

The acquired land spans approximately 28,327.95 square meters (about 33,880 square yards). The transaction attracted a stamp duty of Rs 68.96 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.

KL Rahul, a prominent name in Indian cricket, has represented the national team across all formats and led several IPL franchises. Celebrated for his consistency and calm demeanor, he remains a key player on and off the field.

Suniel Shetty, an acclaimed Bollywood actor, has built a formidable presence in entertainment and entrepreneurship alike. With over 100 films and thriving business ventures in fitness, hospitality, and real estate, Shetty’s influence extends far beyond the big screen.

Their joint investment highlights the rising appeal of Thane’s Ghodbunder Road corridor as a promising zone for high-value real estate opportunities.
